Welcome Back to School!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of Coast Mountains School District, I would like to welcome families and communities to the 2020-2021 school year.  As you know, we will be starting our school year with staff only on September 8 and 9, and students beginning on September 10 with Orientation Sessions.

The school district’s first priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of all students and staff.  We have developed a Safety Plan and Cohort Plan that will see the school district maximize face-to-face instruction while at the same time ensuring safety.  Some of our students have not been in school since March and we are looking forward to providing face-to-face educational programs balanced with an environment that recognizes the importance of student social emotional and well-being.

Families and communities can be further assured that our Principals, Vice Principals, and District Staff have designed unique Stage 2 plans for each of our schools in Coast Mountains School District.  The school district’s plans were shared on August 25 via the school district’s website.

Enjoy what is left of summer and know that we are working to ensure a safe and positive start to the 2020-2021 school year.

If you have questions or you require further information, please email covid@cmsd.bc.ca or call (250) 638-4401 or 1-855-635-4931, Local 4401.

We look forward to welcoming your children back to our schools on September 10.

Sincerely,

Janet Meyer
Superintendent of Schools
